Taking advantage of the movie popularity of Fast and Furious 8: The Fate of the Furious, Castrol GTX offered consumers an opportunity to see the new release. Consumers who purchased high-end Castrol motor oil received two tickets to the movie; while those who purchased the economy Castrol brand received one ticket. Consumers submitted their purchase receipt via text or email to receive their movie reward. Castrol supported the program with in-store signage and also made printed movie tickets available at auto retailer special events.
